What to Expect from the Procedure
Vivace microneedling is an almost painless procedure thanks to the personalized numbing cream that is applied before treatment. Once the area is fully numb, the handpiece is passed across the skin to deliver both the needling and the RF energy deep into the dermal layers. A treatment session usually takes between 20 and 35 minutes to complete, depending on how many areas you want to cover during your appointment.
Your Recovery and Results
There is typically no downtime after a Vivace treatment, which means you can resume your daily schedule right away. Your skin may appear flushed after treatment, but that side effect will subside within a few hours. You will want to use sun protection after your procedure, since treated skin may be more vulnerable to UV damage, however, we don’t recommend anything on the face for about 6 hours post-procedure with the exception of a calming mask and post-procedure serum or PRP.
Results of Vivace can be seen right away as your skin may appear smoother and tighter following your treatment. However, the real results develop over time as your body works to heal itself and more collagen and elastin are produced to support the underlying dermal structure. Most patients see the best outcome by scheduling a series of treatments one month apart. Once the full results are achieved, an occasional touch-up procedure should be sufficient for maintaining your new skin.
