Your nose is one of the most prominent features on the face, and if it has attributes that you find unattractive, then you may be self-conscious about the overall aesthetic of your face.

Although a rhinoplasty may be the first corrective measure that comes to mind, the surgery requires invasive techniques and a long recovery, not to mention the price! Fortunately, modern technology has created a nonsurgical and minimally invasive solution for correcting nasal features — the nonsurgical rhinoplasty. At Destination Aesthetics, we use a selection of strategically placed fillers to augment the shape of the nose and improve the way you look.

What is the Nonsurgical Nose Job?

Whether due to injury, genetics or an unsatisfying previous rhinoplasty the nose can become susceptible to cosmetic concern. Bumps, sunken sections and asymmetry can all play a role in an otherwise unappealing nose. The nonsurgical nose job aims to add symmetry back into the nose by straightening the bridge and nostrils or filling in nasal contours to camouflage affected areas. Dermal fillers are used to enhance the shape of the nose, and each injectable is chosen based on its specific contours. Some of the dermal fillers we utilize at Destination Aesthetics include:

  • Radiesse®: A volumizing filler containing calcium hydroxyapatite that targets creases in the face and smooths the skin. If divots or creases appear anywhere in the nose, Radiesse can effectively eliminate the issue and add volume.
  • Restylane® Lyft: A filler sourced from hyaluronic acid designed to increase the amount of fullness in the face. For the nose, Restylane® can fill in sunken areas and create a straighter bridge.
  • Juvéderm®: Another injectable composed largely of hyaluronic acid used to soften folds in the skin. When used for nonsurgical rhinoplasty, the filler can decrease the appearance of harsh bumps in the nose.

With the nonsurgical rhinoplasty, you receive results almost immediately, and the procedure itself takes less than an hour to complete. It is important to note that the use of dermal fillers in the nose will not impact the underlying structures of the nose. Using injectables simply works with the contours already present on the nose and augments them. Completely re-constructing the nose will require more invasive surgery.

Benefits of Receiving a Nonsurgical Nose Job

The need for any sort of invasive technique completely disappears with nonsurgical rhinoplasty, and because the procedure is essentially gentle on the face, recovery time from this nonsurgical approach is cut in half. The significant swelling and bruising traditionally seen after a surgical rhinoplasty is nonexistent with a nonsurgical approach, and the need for a hospital stay, anesthesia and pain medication is not necessary.

You can change the aesthetic of your face in the comforts of our medical spa, which has an environment similar to that of a relaxation center. You are also able to leave our office without having to hide under bandages and return to your daily routine almost immediately. Nonsurgical rhinoplasty can also be used as a revision tactic for previous rhinoplasty surgery.

Is Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty Right for You?

A nonsurgical approach to the traditional rhinoplasty procedure has many benefits, however it is important to completely consider the goals that you have for treatment. Nonsurgical rhinoplasty will not have an effect on those who wish to reduce the size of their nose by removing tissues. Additionally, those who desire a permanent solution to nasal imperfections may not be satisfied with a nonsurgical approach using temporary dermal fillers. Injectables each last a certain amount of time before they are metabolized by the body, and although many of them continue to promote collagen production and other healing agents, the shape of your nose may begin to revert back to its previous appearance without follow-up injections.

Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty at Destination Aesthetics

With the amount of dermal fillers on the market today, it is essential that you choose the injectable that will properly correct imperfections on your nose. The best way to determine the right dermal filler for you is to schedule a consultation with a member of the Destination Aesthetics team. The aesthetic of the nose is also very particular to the individual, which is why we encourage you to come into our office to discuss your treatment goals for a nonsurgical rhinoplasty. We will be able to assess your nose and select the right filler for the specific treatment area. Additionally, based off your expectations, we will suggest the best area to inject the filler and create the look you desire.

A consultation is also a time for you to disclose any medical history and questions that you may have. You can also expect our staff to provide information about the expectations, risks and cost of the procedure. Since dermal fillers are not typically a permanent aesthetic solution, it is important to understand that maintenance injections will be necessary in order to retain the shape of your nose. However, you can expect your rhinoplasty to last up to a year or longer. If you are interested in reshaping the contours of your nose without the need for invasive surgery, then contact our office and schedule a consultation for a nonsurgical rhinoplasty.
